Too hot for this little bud

I wrote about my new hibiscus plant that had flowered for me. The flowers only lasted a couple of days and I think that might have been because of the scorching hot days we had soon after the buds opened.
I was pleased to see a bud coming on the other hibiscus but hot winds and the heat have been too much for that one too and it’s now lying forlornly next to ‘Mum’. I guess I’ll have to wait till next year for more flowers.

Consistent temps above 35C/95F will cause a hibiscus to drop their buds. Maybe when fall comes to your area you can see some blooms from it? Good luck!

It would be difficult. It will no doubt bloom again next year.

Build a mini greenhouse to save them.

That's a good idea but there isn't much room here to build anything.

I was a bit disappointed but no doubt there will be more blooms later.
