I got to be a studio musician this afternoon.

Michael is the fella who moved to New Orleans recently. He is a "smitten" Grandpa who wants to be near his Grandkids. He was the leader of Burl Jam, and wants to record a good version of Gordon Lightfoot's "It's Worth Believing." He has sent us some files of tracks he recorded in New Orleans, and members of Hair of the Dog are working to add guitar and harmony vocals to the mix. It was not easy. That's all I'll say for now. Three hours of grueling frustration. I think studio musicians are underpaid, no matter how much they make.

Sometimes, if the work is fun, the money you make is definitely secondary. But, if it's not fun, it really isn't worth the time you put into it.

@TheHorse I thought that would be a good thing to do. And at the end you would have the satisfaction that Mick Jagger just couldn't get

I think that most studio musicians love their job, no matter how much they make.

I hope it all falls together for you. It sounds frustrating right now.

Our son's friend lives in New South Wales and has a muso friend in Amsterday. They somehow record stuff together.
