Pork Sausages with Baked Beans and Chips
Tonights dinner
And very good it was
I was on the verge of ordering takeaway but Yvonne said the takeaway is closed tonight
So through to the kitchen I went
Peeled potatoes
Chipped them
Sausages went in Air Fryer
Yvonne said the "takeaway is open
I forgot it's Tuesday, thought it was Monday"
Not to worry
Her getting the day wrong saved me £20
Our Dinner cost £2 in total so £1 each
40p for potatoes
29p for beans
130p for sausages
Saving me £18
And I make better chips than any chip shop
I said to Yvonne " thats pork twice in 3 days"
She corrected me, " had a sausage roll when you were out yesterday"
And tonight she pipes up with " when are we eating the Gammon?"
I told her to go to confession but she said Jews don't do that.
"How about atonement?" I asked , she laughed

@Ineeddentures I haven’t eaten pork since 2014. My mom tells me now that he’s no longer a part of my life I should start eating pork and shellfish and other seafood again that I stopped eating out of respect for him. But I cannot bring myself to do that yet.

I get to order my groceries on Saturday and believe me, most of it will be smoked sausage, baked beans, some rolls and bread with cold cuts, makes the budget stretch longer.

It really was very filling
The sausages quite large and the chips chunky
