High jinx at the library.

I accorded myself a short break from contributing to Mylot - no writing in January - mostly because I had precious little to say.
I still have little to say of any significance, but tonight I’ll break my silence and join the madness once more.
And madness there is aplenty. The photo attached is of what confronted me when I drove into the library car park this afternoon - a burnt out van. We are still suffering the scourge of ne’er-do-wells who indulge in recreational violence and destruction and maintain our motor insurance rates at high levels and our air stinking of burnt rubber and fuel.
So in the library I sought solace by logging onto to my frequent flyer account and booking myself a trip to France. We’ll fly to Nantes, stay 3 nights then take the train to Bayeux to visit my invalid brother in his care home for five nights. Then it’s across to Rennes for 3 night and back to Dublin.
That’s in May, but we go to Edinburgh in two weeks for a few nights then five night in Manchester in March, both trips to see daughters, and the one in Manchester is great with child once more.
There’s an Athens trip in the offing also, maybe on the autumn for our wedding anniversary. I’m so pleased that I’ve saved to many points that can be used for free flights.
Not much else to say except that tomorrow’s dinner will be moussaka the preparing of which I’m becoming really quite adept.

Your moussaka sounds delicious. Will you explore some haunted castles in Edinburgh?

Were there any parts that looked to still be good on the van or did somebody already strip those out?
The trips all sound good but I'm more of a homebody...
I did wonder about you when you stopped showing up on myLot but, decided I must have missed you taking a trip somewhere. I'm glad that wasn't the case.
