Some autistic children, and even adults, have a tendency to wander off very easily and quickly. It was good that he was found safe.

@MarieCoyle I have read that drowning is the number one cause of autistic children.

Did you know that the number one way that autistic children accidently lose their life is drowning? Evidently they are often drawn to water, pools, etc. I didn't know that until one of my friends from school lost her grandson to drowning--he walked out of the house and was swinging on the swing, his mom ran to the bathroom and came right back, he was gone. He made it to a small pond of water, and they found him too late.
