My day so far …..

Firstly I thought I had set my alarm for 9am…..I looked at the clock and it was 5 past. I checked, no, I had set it for 9.30. My original plan for the day had changed since setting the alarm and I , obviously, had forgotten to change the alarm to the earlier time. Anyway, no bother, I got up and ready to go out….. I remembered to put the pancakes and gammon joints the freezer. I got the bus ….on time, thank you Mr bus driver……and got into town. Went to Tesco , had to womble a few receipts…..checked my apps ….two lots of oat and fruit bars for free…..went in Tesco, and managed to find them. £3 a box……for 4 tiny bars ….good thing I was claiming the money back. Went to the bus station and got the bus to Moms. The baguettes went into the air fryer straight away and my lovely Mom is making cheese and onion baguettes, with added mayo. Yummy. How has your day been so far?

So far so good, except for one stupid study I spent 40 minutes on only to tell me I was screened out .and got a few cents for my troubles. If they didn't like my answers it should have happened initially, other than that cozy. Your food sounds good

Kind of hectic with various changes today. This evening we had Arby's roast beef sandwiches that we did not get around to last night.. I added cheese and horseradish sauce.

@Traceyjayne This has not happened on this site before. The people on the site are university researchers and generally have more integrity than that.

Sounds like you were busy. Yesterday I found out that my eye doctor has to close her practice. That's two doctors in two days.

@Traceyjayne They MIGHT be taken over by another practice. If not, I think there is another eye doctor down the road from them. Not too far.

It is 6:25 am. I've done the dishes that Pretty put in the sink overnight, heated up leftover pasta from last night for breakfast, took my morning meds and am going to sleep for a while. I have a specialist appointment this afternoon that I'll need to drive to after while. I really dislike doctor appointments. After we get back to town, Pretty wants to stop at a local store and see about buying clover seeds and renting equipment for raking the yard and spreading the seeds. We hope to grow clover to replace the grass so we don't need to mow anymore or hire someone to mow for us. Nothing else happening today, I hope.

@traceyjayne Up early to get the bin out, lemon drizzle cake for breakfast, watched masterchef, took a long time preparing Melanzane alla parmigiana for dinner (again) and now I’m all set for a good read.

No I don’t go every day. Sometimes I go on a Wednesday and stop over as we go shopping on a Thursday. Other times I will meet her in town on Thursday for the shopping and go back with her for lunch. Sometimes I stay over to Friday, other times I go home after lunch. All depends on what we each have to do. This week I came today, my Mom has ‘ done ‘ my hair…..staying over then shopping in the morning, lunch, then home. The Mister and I bring a takeaway round for us all on Friday teatime and we go round for Sunday lunch. I guess I’m saying I see her about three times a week.

It’s only 6:39am here, but I’ve been up for an hour or two. I’m getting sleepy again, which isn’t great, but oh well. I might have lunch with my dad today, and I hope I do.

Not bad, thanks. I had a Volunteer Driver trip this morning so I had twenty minutes to read my book while I waited for the passenger to come from their appointment, and then on the way home I passed the garden centre and the supermarket so I was able to pop in and get compost, seed potatoes (including blue ones!) and then milk and ingredients to make tarts, so all very convenient. Now I'm home with my second coffee of the day and an almond croissant
