Bad Opinion: Super Bowl

I would guess anyone that looks at the news since Sunday has heard something about the Super Bowl. Maybe nothing about the actual game but so many other things that are being talked about.
First, I am so tired of hearing about the Halftime show. Everyone was up in arms about this person who goes by the name, Bad Bunny. Whether or not he should have been the Halftime show. I guess he only sings in Spanish, personally I never watch the Halftime show so it didn’t matter to me.
So were all supportive of it and many claimed they are big fans yet can’t name a single song of his. Then you got the ones who were mad for whatever reason. I never even heard of him till all this talk started. I wouldn’t want to listen to it, but I don’t speak or understand Spanish.
Of course, that one side tries to say you must be racist if you didn’t want him to sing. I wouldn’t want a Polish, or German or Norwegian to sing either, mostly because I don’t speak those languages either.
Another big conversation around who won the MVP of the game. The Seahawks running back got the MVP and many are saying that the kicker should have gotten it. The little thing I agree with. The running back, Walker didn’t even score a touchdown, he did run for 135 yards but the kicker, Myers kicked a Super Bowl record setting 5 Field Goals and 2 extra points. Giving him 15 of the Seahawks 29 points.
I guess Kickers are just not that exciting, so they went with the Running Back. Odd that if you take Myers points off the scoreboard, the Seahawks lose.
I will stop there since this is going longer than I thought it might.
The Stink of it is: Let’s not make it political and let’s just enjoy the game. Reward those who really earn it and quit trying to bend to those who yell the loudest.

I've heard of Bad Bunny before but I'm not interested in music. I wouldn't listen to someone who doesn't sing in English even if I was interested in music. (I do listen to pony's songs but that's because @TheHorse is singing them. You always listen to friends and support them if you can.)
I've never watched a StupidBowl in my life. I'm not interested in sports so see no reason to pay attention to them. *shrug*
I check the news once in a while but ignore anything about sports.

Believe me, I understand.
When I was in the ER a few days ago one nurse had a really strong accent that I couldn't figure out. Every time she came in to talk to me, I told her I didn't know what she had just said. Luckily, Pretty could understand her so translated for me. Finally, she stopped coming in and another nurse who didn't have an accent came in to talk with me.
Usually, after listening to someone with an accent, I can figure out what they're saying. I've changed doctors when I can't understand them.

Fair enough. I haven't watch football in a long time but since it was the team I use to watch, I decided to watch most of the game.
I like music but I prefer it to be in English since that is the only language I understand. There is a lot of music out there that they tell me is English that I can't understand and guess what....I don't listen to that either. LOL

I really thought the kicker deserved it. I was a little annoyed on his behalf he didn’t get it.
I tried to watch Bad Bunny, but I tend to not listen to things I literally cannot understand. I didn’t really care they had him there though. Didn’t bother me as I don’t like a lot of people they usually get for the half time show.

We are an era where bending over backwards to please a marginalized group is the norm. No matter what it is, TV commercials, The Academy Awards, Men competing in Woman's/Girl's Sports, stores with signage in Spanish, and the signing of the National Anthem also in Spanish, inclusion has gone from a good idea to the absurd.
I'm no longer surprised that in a Country where the spoken language is English and part of the culture of living here, the NFL has bowed to progressives and decided to have a half-time show performed in Spanish.
What's next a Drag Queen halftime show!

quit trying to bend to those who yell the loudest.
That's it in a nutshell
It does my head in, it happens every single day ,
Shout loid enough and you will get what you want even if it's wrong
