While at my 6-month check-up earlier this week I got my Covid and flu shots. I was already in the office, so I said "Sure. Why not?" There were no "side effects," and I am glad to be inoculated, even if nothing is"fail-safe." Did you already get your Covid and flu shots for this Winter?

I had Covid, so wasn’t in the time frame for getting the shot. I did get my flu shot and for the first time ever had a horrible reaction.

No, and my doctor told me after I declined, he gets his flu shot, but he quit getting his Covid shot after the third one. I felt a little validated. If I were elderly I may really think about it. My new primary care sends you to the health department for vaccinations now, so I don’t see myself seeking out any more until I get old enough for a Shingles vaccine. I’ll go to the trouble of discovering where the health department is for that vaccine.

I just do what I can to stay healthy. I got my Covid vaccinations during the height of the pandemic, and never got Covid. Some years I admit I have not gotten a flu shot.

@TheHorse I think that’s wise. Do what you can to keep yourself in the best shape possible. I haven’t gotten the flu vaccine since I was eighteen, and I quit because every single year I’d get the flu anyway, and badly. Once I quit the vaccine, I quit getting the flu. Is that a coincidence? I imagine it is. But I still won’t mess with it.

I got the Covid shot last September. Pretty got the flu and Covid shots at the same time. We always get sick for three days after getting vaccinations.

@TheHorse A lot of people get fevers and upset stomachs from getting vaccinations.

Weird. Most people have no reactions. Glad you got them, though.

I got my flu shot back in October, but nothing else. And I still got the stupid flu anyways.

They are not offering covid shots here anymore. But I am going to ask why when I go to the Doctor again.

It always feels good to be up-to-date with shots.
