I have always had long hair. My family all have thick, fast-growing hair. No bald folks in the bunch. So, anyway I thought these hair facts might be an interesting read: * Hair grows on 30% of a women's body and 90% of a man's body. * Hair is made of keratin and black is the most common color of body hair. * It grows about 6 inches a year. * Pattern baldness effects about 50% of men around their 50s. * Curly or straight hair is determined by the shape of the hair shaft. * A person's body hair standing up when it's cold is a involuntary reflex to provide insolation. * A very blond child is called a towhead.

I have wavy hair and would jump off the tallest building if I had 90% body hair!

Women have hair on their head, faces, underarms, arms, legs, etc. I don't get how they only have 30%?

I have had long hair most of my years after I left home. I have had it below my waist three times and cut it. Hair can grow longer faster if you use reflexology for it.

As you have seen from pictures I've posted on myLot, I have auburn curly hair... MOST of my brothers started going bald by their late teens. The brother four years older than me gets jealous when he sees my hair and tells me I should get it cut close to my scalp. I tell him I LIKE my hair longer and will NOT be getting it cut so he feels better about being bald. Out of 14 male siblings, only four of us still had full heads of hair after we were adults.
