I can now watch all my shows

Since my Spectrum TV package doesn’t include CBS, NBC, FOX, and ABC channels I wasn’t sure how I’d be able to catch the shows I watch that air on these channels. I didn’t want to subscribe to streaming services for that. I discovered that I can watch NBC shows—The Voice, Chicago P.D.—on the NBC app or website and I do not need to log in with my TV provider. I just have to wait a week to watch the shows. CBS shows—Tracker, NCIS, NCIS: Origins—I can watch on Pluto TV a week after they air. It’s free and no subscription required. I also can watch them on the CBS website and I don’t have to wait a week to do so. CBS app is another option, however, when I tried that it required me to sign in with my TV provider to watch their shows. That didn’t work as my TV package doesn’t have this channel. Not sure if that has changed but since I have the other ways to watch my shows it doesn’t matter. No need to try again. FOX shows—Masked Singer, Next Level Chef, Name That Tune, MasterChef, Gordon Ramsay’s Secret Service, etc.—I can watch on Tubi. No subscription required and it’s free. I just need to wait a week before I can watch the shows. American Idol, which airs on ABC, I can watch on the ABC website a week after it airs. Not sure if I can watch it on the ABC app or not but if I can watch it online I’m not gonna bother downloading the app. And since I have a smart TV now I don’t need a laptop as it has a web browser. I don’t like having to wait a week to watch some of my shows, especially when it’s a competition show and people get eliminated, but at least I can watch them and for free.

Between the subscriptions the me, my daughter and my girlfriend have, I think we have just about every streaming network covered. lol

I think if you add up all the subscriptions it will probably add up to the price of cable.

@lovebuglena I've been hearing and seeing a lot of information recently that basically says the same thing you said. People have signed up for so many streaming services that it now costs more than cable did.

@moffittjc so what is the point? Better to stay with cable then. You have everything in one place, you don’t need to remember a bazillion logins, and you make only one payment.

I don't like to wait either. Sometimes I let a favorite series go several weeks and then I have a bit of a marathon to enjoy. I get all the shows/apps I like with the apps I have plus I watch some of the old series on Tubi and other free apps. I have Philo, Hulu/Disney+/HBOMAX, Paramount+, and Netflix. Each one has ABC, NBC etc. on it. I do miss the digital cable I used to get but I am paying only 1/3 what I was paying. I do enjoy my Roku.

I have a Roku tv and I have some of those apps on it. I love getting to see some shows free. I don't mind waiting a week.

I don’t particularly mind waiting a week either, though if I can watch it earlier, I will.

I would get confused as to what was on when. I only watch a handful of shows; and I record them and watch them when I want to. I'm glad you will have access to your shows now.

For most shows, I can watch the previous episode the day after the next episode airs.
