Lilacs on Your Pillow

I just saw this lovely picture on Facebook. It was of an old model truck. The back was filled with lilac branches of all shades. It reminded me of a thing my mother and I shared. When we no together in the same house and were saying goodnight over the phone or in a letter we would make a wish for the other person. It was to have lilacs on our pillows. Lilacs on your pillow were often the last words we said to each other in the evening. We both enjoyed the scent of the lilac bush. To this day each time I see a lilac bush or bouquet I think of my mom.

My grandparents had beautiful lilac bushes in their yard so this reference to lilacs made me think of them.
My mom always loved pink roses.

I love the scent. When my mom was sick with cancer I found some lilac room spray at the Dollar Store. I got several cans for her.

Definitely lilacs, We had lilac bushes in out garden in Latvia, Each season I alos brought in vases of lilacs,

I used to have two lilac bushes just outside my kitchen window. I don't have any around here now.

Daisy. Because when I was young, my mother and I planted daisies on our front lawn. One of those rare moments my mom and I shared before I lost her at a very young age.

My mother was very proud when she managed to raise and English lilac bush and it flowered for her.
