Poor Yvonne
She got a burst tea bag in her tea and didn't notice it
She must have broken the tea bag when she was brewing it in her cup
It's horrible when that happens
Isn't it?
I suppose it has happened to most of us at some point,
Last time it happened to me I had to spit into a tissue, I just couldn't swallow
How about you?
Has the teabag every burst on you?
And did you spit into a tissue or just swallow the tea leaves which escaped from the bag?
It's funny lol

The worst is when you have what resembles sediment floating in your tea.

@Ineeddentures Tastes like rosehip lol. I don’t know how to explain its taste but it’s mild. I like to mix it with hibiscus flowers.

@Ineeddentures Those with the string do not burst.

I asked Yvonne if I could buy some with the string on and she said yes I could
So I most likely will

@LadyDuck
Those with the string cost about three times as much as those without a string
I think Yvonne would have a heart attack of I spent more on tea than she would spend

I accidentally poked one with a knife and some of the "filling" came out.

Bleh. I think I just swallow them, but it's not a nice feeling.

@Ineeddentures Yes, it is. I have a small strainer that fits in the mug.

That's a good idea
Better than drinking it with all the loose tea grounds floating around in it

I don't drink tea so it hasn't happened to me before. I do hate coffee grounds in my cup of coffee though!

Coffee grounds are bad, that's true
But tea is worse especially when you swallow it with liquid tea
Yuck

These are the bags without the string to move it up and down in the vessel.
So Yvonne uses a spoon.
Quite often her bag breaks

That has not happened to me in a long time but if it ever did, I would just drain the tea through a sieve.

That's what I would do as well I think if I knew about it before I got to the bottom of the cup
Yvonne didn't lol

Aye.
I would have to rinse my mouth out with water to make sure all the little bits were gone

The tea leaves settled to the bottom. It wasn't too bad.

I don't drink tea but I can only imagine how awful it would be.
