I got a huge cauliflower for just 67p today ….yes, of course they were on special offer.
When I was looking in the cupboard for the spaghetti bolognese sauce mix last weekend I saw I had two packets of cheese sauce.
Perfect !
I shall make cauliflower cheese.
I have some potatoes that are really nice fried so I shall cook some of those too.
Cheap and cheerful tea ….and there will be enough for tomorrow too.
I love it when a plan comes together.
Have you had anything reduced or on special offer recently ?
What did you make ?

Basically it’s just cheese sauce over cauliflower….i add extra cheese on top and sprinkle with smoked paprika bake in the oven.

I'm so sorry you're having to eat cauliflower. I KNOW cheese sauce won't disguise the flavor.

Cauliflower isn't my favorite but Pretty bought several steamer packets of cauliflower on sale and thought I'd eat it. I'm trying to talk her into throwing it away.

True, I don't like either one of those and don't consider them "food". I'm not the strange one here.

@traceyjayne Cauliflowers are really far to expensive, but a good cauliflower cheese is so comforting. My daughters always insisted on having stinky blue cheese cauliflower cheese as a side at Christmas dinner.

Walmart will sometimes reduce prices. Your cauliflower cheese sounds interesting. Not my favorite veggie.

Your cauliflower cheese sounds so good! I love cauliflower and usually roast it with a spritz of olive oil and some seasoning.

Yes we got two big heads of broccoli for 24p each the other day. We already had a small piece of Stilton in the freezer left from a reduced cheese selection pack my partner bought after Christmas, so Stilton and broccoli soup was the obvious result. We had enough for three days - and we ate it with some very tasty reduced walnut bread

We haven't gotten that lucky lately but sometimes we do with chicken. I don't like cauliflower but my husband does but he won't let me make anything just for him
