What can I say about Manifest Destiny. It's been a long time since I wrote and published it. It's one of my many favorites. It's the second in the Colonial America series. When I originally started writing the book, it wasn't part of the series. Then I noticed that the date I selected for the historical novel was right in line with Scarred, so it was easy to transition it into the series. Coming up with the title was my biggest obstacle. I wasn't good at titles yet. I actually used a dictionary and stumbled on Manifest Destiny. I know it is a government term. That's all I remember about it. It was the name that grabbed me. Manifest is something ships captains use to log everything. They have two of them. Destiny is obvious, a destination. It didn't take much to make it the title of my book. Manifest Destiny starts out in Scotland and ends up in the Colonies. Here is the back cover blurb for the book. Manifest Destiny Back Cover Blurb Ship designer and captain, Gareth Taliesin must find a wife and have a family within seven years or lose the partnership and shipping business in Delaware Colony. Time has almost run out when Ainsley MacPherson of Aberdeen, Scotland, finds herself bound in marriage as the ill-fated result of a game of cards between her father and Gareth Taliesin. Gareth and Ainsley are plunged into the dangers waiting for them from pirates on the high seas, and in Delaware Colony women are missing. Would Ainsley be among them? Gareth’s good friend, Captain David Alexander and his family help solve the mystery behind the missing women and the pirate attacks, but at what cost to Gareth and Ainsley and the villagers of Lewes, Delaware? It was fun to write, like all my books are. I hope you will check it out. Especially if you've read Scarred. Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me. The book cover.

This sounds familiar... Did you start writing this book on WattPad?

A friend of mine wrote about what it was like to be blind in the colonial days. He hadn't finished one of his books when he passed on. My husband took over the job and worked the narrative through to the end.

I learned about Manifest Destiny in school... The misbegotten 19th-century belief that the U.S. had a divine right to expand across North America.

I believe I’ve bought it and read it. I always forget the names of books I have read and their authors. However, I have never forgotten your name
