No dark meat please

At least that is what I should have said. While I was out and about doing my mystery shop and picking up some meds I stopped at Bojangles which is a chicken chain they have here in the South. Anyway, I got a couple of pieces and a biscuit early dinner. I did look in the box to make sure it was all there, but didn't start eating it until a bit later, when I happened to notice I had dark meat..
. Not a dark meat fan, they are supposed to ask you, but they didn't and I forgot to insist. Well, lesson learn ask next time. Do you like dark meat? Color me not a fan.

The thighs are my favorite part of the chicken. I guess we all have different preferences.

The only part of the chicken meat I really don't care for are the wings. I never understood all the hoopla about wings, for sure. They have rubber skin...there is almost no meat on them at all. But the week before the Super Bowl, wings were $20 a POUND at the grocery. Um, if I were to want chicken for the Super Bowl, I think I would buy a variety of chicken and fix it myself.

@MarieCoyle There are a lot of places that make good wings as well and don't charge much for them I haven't had them, but there is a pizza place down here that sells wings and friend said they were fantastic.

I have tried many over the years and I am just not a fan. I guess I just like the chicken to have more meat on them than a wing has. If I cook a chicken or there are wings in a package, I generally add them to a pot of homemade chicken stock and then dismantle them. They don't go to waste, they are just not a favorite of mine.

I don't like the flavor. I love the Bojangles chicken batter though. It almost made up for it. They put a ton of pepper in their coating, and I love pepper.
