Good morning 2/27

It has gotten a bit more normal looking now, but when I first woke up this morning, it was super foggy. I guess this time of the year with clashing air masses it is to be expected. That's OK, I like fog. I would say TGIF, but being retired and all..every day is pretty much the same as every other day. In fact I like the weekends less because they tend to be boring..with a lot of time I have to fill. If you are retired, have you noticed you get no big thrill out of the weekends any more?

The weekends are very lonely. The Meals on Wheels people come Monday through Friday.

I have friend come down sometimes on a weekend, but he is pretty annoying. It isn't usually a good time.

@LindaOHio Not really, he drives me nuts. He means well towards me though and has been there when no one else was so I have to give him credit for that.

I also like fog and this is a season when often there is a little fog in the morning. You are correct about no big thrill out of the weekends.

I like them a little during football season and spring and fall when it is not too hot to go to outdoor events, but mostly yuk.

@LadyDuck I think I am going out for a late breakfast...well a lunch with breakfast food because I will eat breakfast here, but that will be my lunch meal..Other than that just clean, watch TV etc. One thing though since it will be a nice day I will do some straightening up of the yard and porch. I have Christmas items on the porch not on display, but that need to be put away. I also have a small table in the car that belongs on the porch.

It seems that all days are the same every day if you are retired or else make something exciting on weekends. For a change.

I don't mind fog IF I don't have to drive in it on the interstates when it's so thick you can't hardly see. Remember when we were ''just kids'' and looked forward to the weekends? As you say, in many ways the weekend is just like any other day now.

Yeah, well not just kids anytime we were working on weekdays weekends were something special. However, some jobs I have had required some weekend work, which I wasn' t too crazy about.

We are always telling people we don't get weekends or public holidays any more.

If you are retired, have you noticed you get no big thrill out of the weekends any more? Oh yes Weekends used to be the highlight of my working week. I loved Saturdays at work , and Sundays also I never thought that the weekend could be such an anti climax
