Good evening.
I planned on a good morning post, but it wasn'ton the bingo card today. Do you know what else wasn't? Getting a new tire put on the van. Yep. While we were on one of our impromptu drives, George made a sharp turn and somehow managed to damage the tire, or something we're not sure. But needless to say we got a flat but didn't know it until we reached the beachside 7-eleven.
After making a few calls, I was able to get some roadside assistance to change the tire, because George clearly can't. And, while I kinda know how to do it I couldn't move the spare. So we had to call someone to get it. And, well... we wound up at the Toyota repair center, because things happen. And we got a new tire... to the tune of 258 dollars. I wasn't thrilled with spending the money, but in a way, I'm kinda thankful. I knew it'd cost a lot, but it was a lot less than what we were first quoted. so I'll take it.
We made it home before the rains really picked up, too so that's nice as well.

What exactly were you quoted at first Kayla?

No. He was shaking a bit more, but that happens more when he is struggling to think. And, he was trying to ask about the tires and failing spectacularly at it. At the end of the day, we made it home, with a new tire, and safe.
At first we were quoted 280 then 264, I think we somehow got a discount.

@Ineeddentures It is, but it's not more than I'd expect for a tire with a preasure censor in it.

That was unexpected, but thank God it didn't cause a wreck
& you made it back home safe, 258 dollars less but at least safe.

Sorry to hear of the flat. I remember when I had my first car-- if I parked too close to the curb I'd get a flat.

George made to narrow of a turn. Our rear wheel was on the curb a second. I didn't think much of it, and neither did George. I remember us driving and hearing what sounded like a hellicopter or maybe something dragging. When we reached 7-eleven I was relieved it was only a flat.

I was going throught your posts trying to catch up and don't think that I have responded to this, and didn't see it in the comments.

I hate replacing tires. They are so expensive and its so stressfull lol

I'm not a fan, either. But, at least we got it done. Since I used my insurance companies roadside assistance feature, it didn't cost us anything to have someone come out and put the spare on. George drove us to Toyota, and that's where we got the new tire. I paid the bill, and we put fuel in the van and went home.

We wouldn've been we're resorceful. But, yeah. We have a spare and we went to Toyota to get a new tire put on.
