I had made an "icebox cake" with the pumpkin fluff I had stirred up. So of course we had that for dessert. For the main meal I tried a new brand of Chinese food from the store. I got a huge bag (6 servings) of teriyaki chicken for less than $8. All that comes in it is the chicken, which you brown in a little oil, and sauce packets that you glaze the chicken with once it is done. To this I added some cooked broccoli and cooked carrots. It was a nice pop of color. I served it over brown rice. It was not as flavorful as I would have liked. Next time I will add ginger and possibly garlic, but the price was excellent. Bob enjoyed it as well. Now I feel very full. I will likely buy a bottle of teriyaki sauce for on the side. Usually you buy the grocery store frozen Chinese food and at least half of it is rice. I liked that this was just meat and sauce as I can prepare my own rice cheaply. I believe the brand is Hart brand. I have another bag of General Tso style chicken for another time. Hope you ate well too.

Pretty bought some Springfield-style cashew chicken in a kit you put together a couple of months ago. It already had the chicken breaded and deep fried. She cooked the veggies herself. It was pretty good, too. I don't remember what brand it was and never ask about the price. I'm glad you enjoyed your meal. We bought some cold deli chicken strips at the local Ramey's Market and I bought bags of steamed veggies we can just microwave to complete the meal. I really enjoy it.

Can you put Teriyaki sauce directly onto food? I have never used it before but did think about buying a bottle. What does it taste like Heather?

Your meal sounds wonderful. My son did a video for a company with an indoor pizza maker they sent so we had pizza. He used two of the StoneFire flat breads to make one pepperoni and the other sausage with jalapenos. No dessert but yours sure sounds good to whip up some day.

I didn’t feel much like eating anything tonight, but I did have some freeze dried fruit snacks I was sent to review. They were very good.

I'm glad that worked out so well. We had bottled orange sauce with tofu and noodles tonight.
