I was on the bus today ….minding my own business …. A lady of about 65 got on, there was some discussion with the driver about the fare , I didn’t hear what it was but it took a couple of minutes to sort. Another two or three passengers got on, showed their bus pass and went to sit down. Then …..a female got on….she tried to give the driver a certain amount of money …..he was not happy. She said “I’m 16 “…..she was 35 if she was a day ! The driver said something …I didn’t hear ….then she repeated “ I only ever pay this much …. I’m 16 ( I looked at her and thought ‘ what in, dog years ‘! ). She then looked at the back of the bus and called “ Mom, come here “….. Who went to her ….but the lady who had the discussion with the driver earlier ! By no stretch of the imagination was she 16 and I don’t know why she tried to pass herself off as having to pay child fare. She then said to the driver “ you are a miserable b*gger, I can see it in your face. “ ….they both left the bus. *** just for the record …..as I got off the bus I thanked the driver, who smiled….so I don’t think he was a miserable b*gger at all…. ! Hope it gave you a laugh …it certainly made me chuckle this morning.
