Samsung was founded in 1938 but didn't get into electronics until the late 60s. It started out as a modest exporter of fried fish and noodles then diversified into textiles, then insurance and even construction. Today it is one of the world's largest technology conglomerates and produces everything from home appliances, semiconductors to smart phones.

Yup! They make good phones but are definitely overpriced! (Not as overpriced as iPhones but nothing else is.)

@celticeagle When I need a new phone every four or five years, we watch the sales until one I want gets a good price. I paid $169 plus tax for my new Moto G Power 2024 5G. That's less than I paid for my last phone. It was a Moto G Power I bought in 2019. I paid $250 plus tax for it.
