Finally got a room

Well that was a 12 hour ordeal. My ex stayed with me from 11am until just a few minutes ago which was totally unnecessary but very much appreciated. He really is a good guy. It was funny because when I got up here the nurse had to change my gown to put on a holter monitor. She looked at him and said "husband, right?" He smiled and said "sort of". He asked me if I wanted him to step out and I was like "don't be ridiculous".
So here I am. I don't know how I'll fall asleep in this place with all of the beeping. I don't know if they will give me something to knock me out with the other stuff that's going into my IV.
I was given clear liquids after I saw the GI doctor but I can't have anything after midnight. I'm supposed to have an endoscopy and ultrasound tomorrow as well as see the hematologist. The GI guy said that depending on the results I might get out tomorrow or I might have to stay another day. I suppose that the same could be said about the hematologist if he decides I need a blood transfusion. We shall see.

@AmbiePam It did. Like if I want them to know or if it was a dire emergency--fine. Honestly I was pissed she even texted my ex. I mean I appreciate that he cares about me and stayed with me but again I don't think that it was her place to do that.

Glad you got a room and that your ex stayed with you. It's probably a better idea to figure out what is actually wrong (why the platlets are so low) before flying out of there, or you will end up back there again sadly.

Glad you have a room. The terrible thing about being in the hospital is that the two things you so desperately want when you’re sick — rest and food — are the two things that you can’t get there.

No matter what, hospital stays aren’t pleasant. It you are where you need to be right now,and hopefully they can help you. Glad you have not been alone through all of this.

Wow 12 hours is a long time.
I remember Yvonne had a 10 hour wait for a room one time
Your ex is a good guy,
I still don't understand why you didn't get back together
Anyway, I hope you do manage to sleep ok
