Disclaimer: The views and any points presented here are based on my personal understanding after going through News and Videos on the current Mid East situation. No intentional bias against any country or community should be made out here. It is easy to start a war. Difficult to predict or control its end. Now, after the start of the war between US-Israel and Iran, we are seeing terrible attacks and counterattacks. Iran has suffered serious damages and death of its Top clerical Supreme Leader, Khamenei. Yet Iran has used its stocks of Drones (mainly Shahed 136(if I remember the name correctly)) and Missiles ranging from short range to longer range ones - Subsonic, Cruise, Super and Hypersonic ones with devastating effect not only against Israel and US bases in Mid East but beyond. It seems to have erred in targeting Airports, city areas and well, crazily an Amazon Data Centre in Dubai! Its counter attacks have angered Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain and Jordan. And well, to the surprise of many, the mediator in the talks : Oman ! Hezbollah, Houthis too have jumped in. Major World Oil and Trade route - Strait of Hormuz has been closed. Its connecting point is not so wide so closing it for Iran was not going to be very difficult. Part of Red Sea has been closed by the Houthis in Yemen. War and its news or the coverage might seem glorious. Yet, the killings of soldiers, many of whom are unconcerned by the ideologies of their commanders, the common people, their sufferings: all this makes War the biggest enemy of the well being of people anywhere in the world. At times I believe that may be we need a Nuclear WWIII and death for all who already suffer poverty, crime, pollution, deprivation, hunger, discrimination. For what they live on this planet, and won't death be better! For what use are the riches of this world if people suffer so much ! But may be I am getting carried away. May be such wars and conflicts would continue. Common people would suffer and so would the Militaries. Would the so called "Leaders" shed their ego, arrogance, Greed for Money and Power. Or may be I believe in Utopia too often! Over to you Friends !

@Rimps85 Many of the US Presidents and some in their elite circle think of positioning US as Global Supercop. Trump used to talk about disengagement from different parts of the world but here he started another war!

@Rimps85 There are rulers in certain countries who support Terror groups elsewhere yet wars do not solve that problem. Instead their supply chains and financial backbones should be cut. Also, without sending soldiers on Iranian land, I do not think US and Israel can achieve their objectives fully.

@Rimps85 this is because Trump wants Iran's oil resources and want Israel to feel safe.

Another opportunity for him to get a Nobel prize. It's hard time because lots of countries are involved in the war.

@sjvg1976 After this war and if proven that the targeting of the school in Iran was not unintentional, his chances of Noble prize would practically be zero.

@sjvg1976 For him, peace means that a short war gets started somewhere in the world and then he persuades the warring countries to stop fighting after his phone call and they start praising him. That is his "peace" !

I'm tired of hearing about trump and the stupid things he keeps doing. I can't wait until he's finally impeached or passes away from eating too much McDonalds! Then we'll have to contend with his ignorant vice-president.

@DaddyEvil At least his Vice President could perhaps allow more Indians to have US visas or at least lower the cost of flying between India and US (he has an Indian origin wife !! ). But of course, we could see a Democrat President next. May be Hillary Clinton?

@DaddyEvil Well, I too said more in a light hearted way. I know that if he becomes the next Prez, he would pursue the similar policies as Trump. Yet may be a bit more grounded.

I try very hard not to listen to politics and war. It's devastating. Too many lives are lost.

@just4him Yes at times, it can be overwhelming and depressing. I read a lot and watched many Geo Politics videos yesterday. Now I am feeling a bit heavy mentally. Today I won't dive that much! Wars never help. Indian policy is mainly of self defense otherwise, we have had a lot of reasons in the past to start many wars.

@just4him Yes after a point, watching too much of war news doesn't helps anyone's mind!

Sometimes it does seem that these countries are intent on wiping each other out. I wonder how it will all end.

@JudyEv To me it seems that International Pressure would lead to a ceasefire within 10 days. I do not think the regime in Iran would discontinue. May be their hold gets weakened and its support for Hamas, Houthis and Hezbollah gets reduced. I wonder even if Iran was ready for limiting Uranium enrichment, why did US start the war?

War always brings immense suffering to ordinary people, so it’s understandable to feel overwhelmed, but hoping for more destruction would only deepen that pain rather than solve it. Even in the darkest times, dialogue, accountability, and compassion are far more powerful paths forward than escalation.

@ocard010101 You are right. However, there are many who either plan others' destruction and then some who do not resist the idea of an armed conflict.
