Well not really but it is what it is. It is 5am here at the Jersey Shore. It is 35 degrees F and dark. The high for today is 44.
I'm obviously still in the hospital. I got about 3 hours of sleep in like 20 minute patches. Ugh. Between the vitals checks, various alarms going off, and general uncomfort I am exhausted. Because I am considered a fall risk they have a setting turned on in the bed to blast an alarm if it thinks I am getting out unattended. Well after almost 24 hours of laying in bed my hips and butt are getting sore so I keep flipping and setting it off.
The endoscopy is supposed to be today but I don't know when just yet. I wasn't allowed to have anything to drink after midnight so I drank half of a small bottle of water like 10 minutes before that. I wound up puking twice so that was fun. The nurse gave me Zofran so eventually it stopped. Hopefully I will see the hematologist today too. We'll see what he has to say about a transfusion.
My ex said he couldn't come here during the day but that he would call to check in on me and stop by after work. That is considerate of him. My mother said she would call this morning too. I'm sure I'll hear from my neighbor, sister, and some coworkers/friends as well.
So for now it is just a lot of waiting. I haven't even turned on the TV since I got up here. I'm so sick of the news. So what am I doing--catching up on the news and InternetLand.
This half-drunk bottle of water is killing me though. The next time the nurse or tech comes through I'm going to ask them to take it away. I know I can't have it but it is so tempting.
What's everyone else up to today?

Doesn't sound like you will be getting out anytime soon. I hope you feel better soon.
Nothing going on today. I may get my hair cut tomorrow if I can change my Cancerguard appointment.

There's a reason I keep saying I hate hospitals! Why can't they let you sleep? They don't need vitals at all hours for every patient! I honestly hope they let you go home as soon as possible. (Just don't fall down where anyone can see you or they'll call the ambulance and you'll be right back in there!
It is 46F in my part of Missouri this morning with drizzling rain. Our high is supposed to reach 76F this afternoon. With the rain and a 13 mph wind, I don't think that will happen.
I have a doctor appointment first thing this morning. We'll talk with her about everything that's been happening lately and get her opinion on things. Hopefully, she can make some suggestions. We shall see.

Thank goodness for technology which must be distracting you a little. Otherwise you'd be forced to watch TV which again is probably better than lying there with nothing to do.
