Yup platelet transfusion

I pretty much expected it after this morning's level. It sounds like the procedure will still happen this afternoon. I'll likely be here until tomorrow because I haven't seen the hematologist yet and they'll want to check the platelets a couple more times. Who knows though with this place? The nurse said the transfusion will take about an hour and then I'll go down there for a few hours. I wish they could give me something to calm down because I'm nervous about it. Ugh.

Tell someone, they may give you something mild. And call someone to come and be with you, please.

@NJChicaa She couldn't take an afternoon off to support her sis? I am sure if you asked her she would do something, at least I would hope so.

There has to be a volunteer system in that hospital; somebody who will be with you even for a few minutes. Take care.
