Not much to tell yet

Bob had his bone marrow biopsy today. I took the day off. We left extra early because it was very foggy outside.
We will not get results and follow up until April 13. I guess we are lucky he is not actively dying of something. The doctor said they do so many tests on this type of sample including checking his DNA for inherited disease.
We arrived early which was good as it was difficult to find where to go on the health center campus. We ended up going in through the Cancer Treatment Center. Those people are the nicest and most caring I have met in a long time.
I have been lazy and Bob has napped for hours. He thinks they only did local anesthetic, but I am wondering if he was given some sedation.
I obviously would not let him drive home.

We've mostly had very caring people looking after us whenever we've had to go for any procedures.

People respond differently to different things. I think they use general sedatation because of how painful it is. And the person needs to be kept still.

Hi Heather
Can I ask what sort of sedation would be used if not only a local anaesthetic?
April the 13th is quite a way away..
Yvonne has to wait 6 weeks for a test result as well and she is getting impatient about it now.
Checking DNA seems like it's a world wide thing,
That's how Yvonne found out where her family was from and other things she could never have known about
Wouldn't have been wise to let him drive home right enough
