Da Moon, Da Moon................

March 3 2026 lunar rising

Oh what a moon last night. I actually have Roscoe to thank for that video. If not for Roscoe and his new harness that can light up at night I wouldn't have been outside to witness this incredible moonrise. I've tried for years to get a good video of that event but the moon doesn't always rise in the same spot so all too often there are too many obstructions to actually get a good video. I'm so glad I was outside that night.

I forgot to look last night, but saw it Monday night. You certainly took an awesome video. Yes, I watched it and my iPad didn’t explode.

@rebelann You really lucked out being in the right place at the right time thanks to your precious Roscoe. Loved how close you are to the mountains. I was daring, so tried it again. So happy to o see your video so clearly!

That's a really great video I couldn't like it as I was not signed into you tube. Nice moon rising I expected to hear Roscoe howling like a wolf

I get the impression that those red moons only occur in humid areas, here it's usually betwee 1% to maybe 10% under normal conditions which means there's nothing to refract from.

That’s superb! I love looking at a full moon…looks like a peeled naval orange.

Thank GOD ..... where would I be if not for the Great Spirit. I didn't think of that but yeah it did look quite a bit like a peeled naval orange ..... but the real thing was so much more impressive as if you didn't know that

God gave me 2 opportunites, 1 was I wanted a video of Roscoes new lit harness and 2 was realizing the moon was about to rise. I'm more impressed that I didn't wobble so much as I usually do.

What a shame, moonrise is always beautiful if you get to see one.
