Could barely sit down today

I’m sure you are all pondering and wondering why Dianne could barely sit down today 
. So I will tell you what I remember.
With coffee I began with notifications until…
Hubs asked for short ribs for dinner.
I had to look up my recipe.
Made out a grocery list, then remembered to defrost the ribs.
So many texts to respond to. Then more. Forget checking emails.
Heard drilling in the building. Forgot someone had to be home between 8:30 to 5:30. New WiFi wiring only being installed on our floor today .
Vacuumed, cleaned, washed and dressed.
Hubs came home to house sit and I put away the groceries.
Flew out of the house for my morning walk and had to return for my sunglasses as usual.
Hat blew off my head immediately due to the winds off the water. Chased it down and held it down until I got to the street.
Walked for 2 hours.
Showered. Dressed again.
Made a marinade for my short ribs. Had 3 phone calls, a FaceTime, and two texts.
Four people arrived at my door. Asked hubs to handle the workers.
Heard drilling. Wanted to see what exactly was being drilled. Only one worker. Approved of drilling spot. 2 more texts.
Three board members. All of them friendly. One wanted to see our condo, so came in for a tour.
She left when I received another phone call.
The board member who lives above me wanted to see an outlet in my pantry and compare hers to ours.
Stood in our kitchen talking for 45 minutes, mostly about Don, the Creep, who just passed away. Had to vacuum again from the drilling.
She left. I put on my bike riding clothes and asked hubs if he wanted to go for a ride. He didn’t, so I went myself just to relax. Nice breeze, remembered sunglasses and put on a helmet which didn’t fly off my head.
Home now. Caught up on notifications while having a nice gin and tonic with a wedge of lime. Snowy asked me if I was going to write a post. I sighed.
And here it is. Now hubs is asking me what time are we eating. Time to start dinner and then then soak in the tub.

I know that you had such a wonderful day and am very happy for you.
I only put a tiny bit of gin in my glass much less than a half ounce. I think I love the lime juice the most.
My glee was when hubs cleaned up the kitchen, so that I could have a nice, relaxing soak in the tub.

@Ineeddentures To be honest, he always cleans the kitchen afterwards. It started so long ago when my sons were both living at home and going to high school after I started getting real manicures. I didn’t want to ruin my nails
He will vacuum and wash the floors, but he refuses to clean the bathrooms.

That's very thoughtful of your husband cleaning up in the kitchen for you,
I do the cleaning of the kitchen and bathroom
I don't just do it because Yvonne would struggle , maybe she wouldn't now, I don't know, I do it because it's an old Army habit and it has to pass my own inspection and be spotless and dazzling.

Sorry you had a stressful day and that I was barely on here. Hope things are better for you today.
Chasing the hat was ridiculous. Whenever I was about to pick it up, the wind blew it over and over again. It finally got caught up against a shrub.

I was so exhausted last night that we both went to sleep an hour earlier than usual and awoke at our usual time.
The family takes a huge vacation every year during Christmas vacation and go to warm places to scuba dive, hire fishing boats (both grandkids love fishing and diving off the boats), and visit the sites. I have so many photos from their Caribbean trips, Mexico on the Pacific, Turks and Caicos last year, and Dominica this year. They all scuba dive every time and my daughter-in-law takes the photos. I just chose one of those photos that popped up first in my photos, because I was pressed for time yesterday.
With my grandson in boarding school, it’s difficult to coordinate vacations, because his schedule is so different than my granddaughter’s. With her in college next year, it should be great. Boarding schools follow university schedules

@LadyDuck I hope his exercises started off easy enough for him. To be honest, I hurt trying my husband’s exercises.
Hubs does his all by himself, but I keep an eye on him, too, to make sure he’s doing them correctly. Except for yesterday, when I had such a crazy day.
Happy you can be here now while he naps. It must be so difficult for you.
Hubs is at therapy right now. When he gets home, I will head out for my walk. I like to tell me what he did as soon as he gets home.

Now that was one busy day.
My morning started with an online meeting at 7:45. I woke up an hour before that. Spent a few minutes in mylot. Talking in a meeting that early is what I'm used to do. Had hot chocolate and toast for breakfast and mango too.
Maid and I went to the market at 9 if we could see fresh fish for lunch and we did.
Worked a bit after lunch and took a nap. Woke up at 4. I slept longer than expected. Wanted to go to the market again with the maid but she went at 3 while I was still sleeping.
Mylotting and just waiting for dinner to come now.

I haven't been doing very much the last couple of days. I've had a migraine that the meds just didn't touch. I stayed in bed and let my laptop read to me until I couldn't stand that anymore and then just tried to sleep.
I still have a headache but wanted to come visit with friends tonight.

@DianneN Thank you. The migraine wasn't done with me yet. I spent today with damp cloths over my eyes and the house as quiet as we could make it. This white background isn't helping me rest my eyes, either. I may not be here very long today.

At first, when I saw the headline, about not being able to sit down, I thought that you had had an accident. Pleased to hear it was just because you were busy, rushing around.

I prefer a more sedate retirement, but yesterday was like a train wreck for me. Today will hopefully be more enjoyable.
Thank you! They are a very close family. They even have Tennis Mondays together when my grandson is home from boarding school. It began before they moved to their new house.

I was truly exhausted by the end of the day. I’m taking advantage of the beautiful weather and lack of hilly terrain to continue my exercise down here. When I walked with my brother a couple of days ago, he said the same thing. Every time we return, I keep up with my exercise, but don’t ride my bike. I’m not one for hills.
I just finished a little yoga session and am enjoying a cup of coffee. Will go walking later once my husband returns from his “exercise”.

You sure were busy. All I did was go to the grocery store. I forgot three things yesterday. Went back and got three things plus some treats for the spoiled cats.
It was raining but no wind so no chasing my hat.
Hard shell tacos for dinner tonight, My husband is making them.
