Another day off. . . not really

Today the teachers had professional development and work day, paraprofessionals and aides had the day off. I started by taking Bruno for his yearly physical. He has gained a lot of weight. He is 21 lbs. The vet suggests that instead of commercial treats that I dehydrate chicken or beef and cut it into little bits for treats. I will know what is in it and it will be pure protein for the kitties. He got three shots and a flea and tick treatment. Also today I met Jane for lunch and visited two thrift shops. Then I was tired. For supper Bob and I made sub style sandwiches on some hoagie rolls I had in the freezer. He was hungry for something "solid" and these were very filling with assorted meats, pickles, cheeses, and veggies. Bob is "sleeping it off" and I am tires as well.

Oh, you know I did. Looking back this is the last solid meal Bob was hungry for in the past week. No wonder he is losting weight.

@GardenGerty True, that is a good reason for Bob to lose weight.

I feed my dog dehydrated chicken treats. A lot of them say that are for dogs AND cats.

Are they very expensive? What brand are they and where do you get them?

@GardenGerty I’ve gotten several different brands from Amazon. The prices of the ones I’ve ordered have ranged from $7.99 to $14.99.

He is, and he is soft. Feels like a squishmallow toy. I will have to get him to exercise and play more.

I’m certain that Bruno, aptly named, would love those for treats. My son buys dehydrated treats for his 2 kitties, They come in various varieties and they love them. You were certainly busy on your day off!

At some point I will be permanently "off" and then will have time for all the extras.

That’s a good idea about the treats. Do you think you will follow the advice? I love browsing thrift stores.

It is very likely I will, but will maybe try a small amount at first so if they do not like it I will not be out a lot of money.

The cats will like those treats. For a day off, you still got a lot done.

I hope they do. I will start small to make sure they like them.
