Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs

Have you bought any of the Reese's candy they're putting out for Easter? They don't taste right. The Hersey's company claims they haven't touched the basic chocolate and peanut butter recipes but, on the packaging it says "chocolate flavored coating and peanut butter paste" instead of "milk chocolate coating and peanut butter filling".
Pretty bought some of their Chocolate Easter eggs with peanut butter paste... YUCK! We don't either one like this new formulation! I had to go find their site and complain about the taste difference.
Supposedly, nobody else had registered complaints about the new formulation... Well, they have a complaint now!

I don't know anything about Lindt chocolates. Usually the Hershey's chocolates are delicious.

Hershey's makes those Cadbury Creme Eggs here, too. If you didn't notice the difference in 2015, then you'll be happy to know they didn't change them again.

@DianneN We don't celebrate holidays, either, but we do like to sample the different styles of candy that come out for the holidays.

@DaddyEvil To be honest, I only had one or two well before 2015. My son used to love them, and I don’t care much for sweets. I also don’t celebrate Easter.

It's only the holiday special chocolates they changed this year according to several online articles I read.

@DaddyEvil I will avoid those then. I usually don't buy until after the holiday anyways

@wolfgirl569 There are some specialty stuff we buy before the holiday and then stock up after the holiday. We won't be doing that anymore.

Unfortunately, Pretty bought a five pack of eggs. We don't know what to do with the other three. We sure won't eat them!

@noni1959 We don't eat jellybeans because they always taste like old stock.

It's like everything else. They cheapen down the products, charge the same amount and hope the consumer won't notice. I'm glad you complained.

True and we know not to buy the specialty stuff anymore. Anything that is holiday driven has been changed now.

We like peanut butter cups and will have to stick with those, apparently. They're still the same formula, according to the company.
We just liked trying the different holiday shapes instead of always getting the same cups all the time.

How dare they change the taste! Check the label and see if they came from outer mongolia.

As long as you just buy the Reese's that are sold all year long, then there shouldn't be any changes to those, at least not yet. Just the holiday chocolates were changed.

I have not bought that. I usually buy Cadbury Cream Eggs at Easter time.

Cadbury Creme Eggs are made by Hershey's in the US but, if you've still been enjoying them, then you have nothing to fear. They changed their chocolate recipe for them in 2015 to match what they did in England back then. English people were up in arms about the change in the recipe.

We still love it but will have to be careful which type we buy now. The holiday stuff is all they changed this time.

The regular cups are supposed to still be the same formula. We'll have to stick to those from now on.
You're very welcome.

Pretty bought a pack of 5 eggs. We each tasted one. If I could, I send the other three to you. Maybe you or a friend will like them.
