A Walking Day

My hubs has suggested that he'd like lasagna for supper tonight.
That meant a trip out to get some of the cheeses that are used in it. It is a sunny day here today, but windy. The wind brings down the temperature to only 10C. But the wind will help things dry up as they thaw and melt.
March is typically referred to as the mud month. It is a very transitionary month.
I did notice as I was driving along a couple of things. The gas station has hiked the price of a litre of gas by 7 cents just since last night-unbelieveable. And the other thing that I noticed, which brought some smiles to my face, was seeing people out walking their puppies. It was quite obvious that they dogs, regardless of their height, were just pups because they didn't walk well on a leash and they were jumping as they walked along-like pups do.
It was funny to see, and honestly, it reminded me of the walks that we take with the girls. They both just love to splash in the puddles. And Harper finds mud puddles easier and quicker than anyone that I've ever known before.

Yes, and I took that photo on Family Day in February.
About half of the snow had melted by then, the piles got taller than the roof of Jonathon's 4-wheel drive truck. Without the sensors to tell you if someone is coming up the sidewalk or street, you would not back out of the driveway safely. Our first snowfall was in November and it stuck and we just got more and more and more.

She looks alot taller because her jacket is the same colour as her jeans are.
But she has grown alot this past winter.
We can tell when she is in a growth spurt as she only wants meat and no carbs.
She used to be able to run in the kitchen and pass easily under the counter where it sticks out on the end of the peninsula, but now when she does that she hits her head and she cries. That was the only downfall with her growing taller. She does like the fact that her height and weight has reached the point where we can turn her car seat so it is forward facing. We left both rear facing until she was big enough to turn.

@JudyEv And the funny part of it is that they are not crying because it necessarily hurt so much as they are because they realize that they don't fit under there anymore. It wasn't the best habit that she had anyways, and we try to remind her that the ledge is for when we sit at the stools, not for taking a short cut when walking or running around.

The price of a barrel of crude oil rose to almost $120...all due to the conflict in Iran.

Don't mind the ice and snow, I took this picture on Family Day, which is in February.
They both insisted on putting their baby dolls into their buggies, and cover them up with the nice little warm winter blankets that they have for them, and let them have some fresh air.
They sing and talk to their baby dolls as we walk down the street, they make me laugh when they act like little girls should. Our world needs more children acting like children and using their imagination to play.
