I wonder how long it is going to be open this time?

There is a convenience store on the backroute coming back to this place. I usually take that when coming back from somewhere far away because it is shorter..Anyway, this store with a couple of gas pumps has opened and closed about 5 times since I have been living here. I don't know if they are running out of funding..or it gets sold to new owners or what? Anyway, I was glad to see it back for however, long it is there..because they need a gas pump in that place..cuz if you start off on the back road and don't have enough gas to make it all the way back here to the hinter lands, you have to get of the route and head south 3 or 4 miles off the track and get gas and then drive back and pick it up again. It seems a good place to have a store near a cross roads with light to moderate traffic. Stay, little store stay.

It would be really nice to have a store you could walk to. Where I used to live there were a couple of things you could walk to, but a grocery sTore wasn't one of them.

@snowy22315 - When I grew up in Milan, we had plenty of stores at walking distance. It was so nice to have a real butcher, a greenstore, a baker, a pastry store all at walking distance.

It keeps on chugging, just not consistently. Some day I will go in there, and see if I can get the low down. I am guessing new owners.

I can't think of any gas stations/convenience stores, or even just gas stations, that are not part of a big corporation. Is the one you speak of part of a chain, or? I miss the days when the gas stations were plain and simple. You could get gas, they would check your oil and air on your tires...many had a little attached garage and did simple repairs. You didn't need an appointment,,,I haven't seen a mom and pop type of gas station in a very long time. I hope whoever owns it can make it work so that area has a gas station.
