I am wearing my Red Cross long sleeved T shirt today. I had some errands I wanted to do in town today since it was a beautiful day and I could keep the windows open. Anyway. I was at the trash and recycling center, and the guy behind me said "Thanks for giving blood." That was nice of him, and of course I thanked him..I have to admit though I mostly did it to get this cool shirt. with decorations on the back.Of course helping other people is a nice side perk. I don't always care about whatever they are giving away, but in this case I did.

Giving blood is one thing I have always wanted to do, but couldn't. They don't want mine. Off and on anemia so they always just say no. But I am so thankful for all the donors out there (thank you, Snowy!) it kept my son alive when he needed it and still does sometimes.

Helping people in need will gain some people to praise you for your kindness.

that was nice of that guy to be grateful!
I haven't donated blood at all. I always got rejected during the screening process.

@Ineeddentures Helping people is helping people. I guess you could make a request for it to be used in Scotland. Not sure if it would do anything though.

I'm sure it would
But I am unsure about this as I heard a rumour that donated blood has been ending up in Ukraine and I would rather it helped people in need here

That was friendly. I can't and won't give blood due to my needle phobia.
