Who are the Leprechauns?

The word Leprechaun comes from the Irish word leipreachan and means "small-bodied fellow". Portrayed as shoemakers they get paid in gold and hide it at the end of the rainbow. It is said that they give you three wishes if you catch one. They are descendants of the Tuatha De Danann, an ancient tribe of mystical gods associated with sacred places and mythology. They are solitary male figures with no female counterparts. Standing only between 3 to 8 inches in height with a long beard and wrinkled appearance

@celticeagle Where the leprechaun kills the people who try and steal his gold. And the leprechaun on one film removed a guy's gold teeths with a pair of pliers

We always have this bad image of the leprechaun because of the horror movies. And even in animated ones leprechauns have this attitude.
