After the endoscopy I was told that I can't take ibuprofen for pain. Well upon follow up I was told I can't take Tylenol either. I was like okay so what do I take? The doctor rattled off the name of something I've never heard of before that starts with an "r". He said "it is a muscle relaxer".
Um, wut? I'm supposed to take a muscle relaxer for a headache or sore hip? That makes absolutely no sense. What's even crazier is that he didn't even give me a prescription for whatever it is.
I guess the good news is that I rarely get headaches. I can't say the same about hip pain though.

It looks like maybe you should call him and get a prescription. I've never taken Robaxin. I have another med, Soma, for muscle spasms.

For that sore hip use a topical. Like Bio Freeze or Voltaren gel. Much kinder to your liver and kidneys and less likely to cause bleeding.

It will indeed work on the kind of pain you speak of.
It works by blocking nerve impulses (or pain sensations) that are sent to your brain.

@Ineeddentures And I believe it's otc, no scrip needed, at least in Canada.
