Can you be brutally honest?

After being consistently present in your life several times a day, every single day of the week, and suddenly that person asked you if you missed him/her, can you be brutally honest to tell the truth that you don't? For some they might lie as they don't want to hurt the person's feelings. Some may say, they only want to be polite so they say they do even when they don't. Me? I would rather be brutally honest than pretend.

I never was put in such a situation or asked such a question. I’d be flabbergasted if someone asked me that.

It's a good thing you weren't. And hope nobody would.

No, I think I would not be brave enough to be brutally honest.

Would you just avoid the question?

Thankfully, I've never been asked that. I'd rather not lie about anything.

I would probably beat around the bush and not answer honestly.

I understand. You can just try to avoid it. The truth can hurt.

I would find a jokey way to respond. Because honestly, it sounds like question they would teasingly ask.

That's a smart way to go about it.
