I was walking to the store recently and saw something shiny in the snow.
I stopped to look at what it was.
It turned out to be a 25¢ coin.
I wiped off the snow and put the quarter in my pocket.
It was a welcome surprise to find it, especially in the snow.
Not only is it rare that I find quarters.
I never find any coins in the snow.

My friend had once found a wallet on the road. It has many currency notes in it. Minutes later a man was seen coming towards the road. He was looking for his wallet he had dropped somewhere. My friend returned his wallet.

That was definitely nice of him to return the wallet. Some people would not do that.

@lovebuglena Thank you. The owner of the purse was lucky. He.came to the place where my friend was standing. My friend is honest. He handed over the wallet to its owner.

My daughter found some dimes and quarters recently out on the pavement on one of her walks.

It was. Recently, I thought I found 10¢. I bend down to pick it up, but it turned out to be a small round battery.

When we saw coins in the street, we immediately bought something in the store so the coins could travel back to their owner. Lol! That's a belief and a custom here in the Philippines. Lol!

How would the coins travel back to their owner?

Preferably it is clean and not covered in dirt or poop. I recently found a penny that was covered in dirt so I had to wipe it before putting it away.

Do you ever find them in real life? When I was little, I used to pretend that I working in a store as a cashier and I’d count coins.

@lovebuglena I used to. Now I don't get out much; and the person that drives me drops me off right at the door.

I once found three quarters on a bench. They were on top of each other.
