Memphis Tennessee Judge Tank Sugarmon was driving in rush hour traffic on Friday morning when he saw a young female toddler was running between parked autos on Poplar Avenue near South Highland Street running an errand when he heard the dad of the young girl asking her to stop.
Judge Sugarmon stopped his auto and wave his arms to warn the other drivers to stop due to a child running on the busy street.
Judge Sugarmon managed to grab the girl to get her out of danger before her dad who was nearby managed to reunite with his daughter safely shortly.
What likely happened was that the dad had parked the auto and his daughter ran out of his auto running into traffic out of being excited.
Tough call if the dad was at fault for not keeping a sharper look on his child or not.
Nice to see a judge save a life instead of being ridiculed for being soft on criminals for a change.

Can't really blame the parents most of the time when a toddler becomes hyperactive.
I would have done the same as the judge. I think anybody would.

So glad the judge came along and yes, the dad should have been more mindful of his daughter,

Toddlers are full of energy and can at times go out of control for even the most watchful and careful parents. The judge was actually a guardian angel. Dad of the toddler must be so thankful to him.

It just shows you that anyone can rise to the occasion when needed, if their heart is in the right place, as was the heart of this judge.
