Are there any friendships you’d like to renew?

About two years, I dropped a friend. I won’t get into what she did, but believe me, you’d have a problem with it too. I miss her though, and I wish I hadn’t had to do that. But forget my situation, are there any people that were your friends, but aren’t anymore, that you’d like to connect with again? It doesn’t matter how it ended, but would you like to have them in your life once more?

I did drop a friend. She suddenly became a raging, angry racist, put down everyone who basically didn't have roots to coming over on the Mayflower. It was like she took a hate pill or something! Sadly, she has lost a lot of friends--some that are my friends. She is simply full of hate and anger, and I, along with others, had enough.
And no, after knowing what she said, and kept saying--I honestly am not interested in renewing the friendship. Ever.

@MarieCoyle How one becomes that awful baffles me. Is it something that happened over time? How does a person get that bad?

I reminded her that God made all the people in his image and he didn’t care what color they were. She didn’t like that at all. She also referred to an elderly couple I know who are the nicest people, would do anything for anyone, as poor white trash. The couple spent everything they had to keep one of their children alive who had cancer. I have no room in my life or my heart for anyone putting someone down like that. Not ever.

Wehn i dorp a friend, I don't like to reconnect anymore because I know I have a good reason why I did that.
I would like to reconnect to friends I've lost touch though because of the distance or because life go tin the way.

As my year group are celebrating turning 60 right now , we have a reunion planned for a couple of weeks time. I’ve had a couple of messages from people asking if I’m going ….and yes, it would be lovely to catch up with some folk …..im just not sure I want to go . Trouble is …..it’s being held in the upstairs room of the pub we go to every Saturday anyway !
It’s not quite the same as your question, since I haven’t fallen out with any of them ….theres just some I would prefer to see just on that night ( if I have to at all ), I don’t want to be talked into anything else.
