Do you like corned beef and cabbage?

Tomorrow is St Patrick's Day. I am 0% Irish so I had never had the traditional corned beef and cabbage dinner until I ate it at a former boyfriend's house. I loved it!
One year I decided I was going to make it at the house and my ex flipped. He said that his mother always made it (and she's not a good cook) and he couldn't stand the smell of it. So instead of making that we turned the corned beef into pastrami and smoked it. That was really good.
After I moved to the apartment I decided to make it for myself in the Instant Pot. It was awful. So that was the last time I attempted to make the meal. It is easier to just leave it to the professionals and go out to a restaurant that serves it.
Do you like it?

I not only love it, I make it perfectly. The only Irish in me is that I’ve been to Ireland and loved it. Hubs bought me a large corned beef, and I was going to invite my friend Sandi, who is Irish, and my brother and sister in law, who is an Irish Catholic, but hubs and I are sick from eating steadily since Thursday night, so it will sit in the freezer.

I do, but I put potatoes and carrots in it too like my mother did and onion.

Yes. I used to make it occasionally when hubby was still around.

I absolutely love it but have not had any in ages, I made it once in a slow cooker and it came out really good,

I love corned beef and I love cabbage ….ive never had them together.
I’m not sure it is a particularly Irish meal …..
