It's A Balancing Act

Happy Tuesday Everyone! I can't believe it's after 4pm and this is the first opportunity I've had to pop on here and say hi.
I'm all nice and comfy in my recliner with the dog between my legs, the heating pad over my knees and my laptop on my sofa pillow so it's sturdy. The dog is very happy to have the warmth of the heating pad (it's on low) and I think she is more in love with that than me 
It's definitely a balancing act.
The day was full of interruptions.
I finally got my grandsons birthday card written out and will put that in the mail tomorrow with a skein of yarn that I sold. Thankfully it can all go out in my mailbox and won't require a trip to the post office.
My oldest daughter is sick so there's no girls club tonight. 
Tonight we're having an easy dinner. Sausage, peppers, onions and red potatoes roasted. I was looking for something good but didn't' require a lot of prep work.
That's my day in a nutshell.

@LadyDuck thankfully we don't have wind today but it's chilly. I am glad I put on a heavy sweater so I'm comfortable.

Thanks for your well wishes for my daughter. I'm sure she'll be fine in a few days. There's been so much sickness going around that it's hard not to catch something from someone. I'm glad she kept her germs home

I'm sorry that your daughter is under the weather.
I just facetimed with my hubs at our son's place, and Willow isn't feeling the greatest either, she is coming down with a cold. She looked like it hurt to swallow, and she was pale, I told Grandpa that I just wanted to pick her up and cuddle with her, but then I'd get it too.
And then across the room was Harper. Fine as Harper always is. She was just sitting on the floor with her lego blocks and the book that came with the last set-choosing something else to build. That one is going to be an engineer I think.

@Marilynda1225 Its too cold for Nanny to go outside and go to their house today.
Harper has one of those memories where they can recall everything perfectly. Just show her once how to do something, and she will not need to ask again. She loves to look at a picture and draw it or look at something from her Leo book and put the pieces together to make it.
I made some chocolate butterflies from some orange and blue chocolate wafers that I had. Willow told me that the butterflies were in fact not chocolate as they were the wrong colour-what kind of a kid says that?

@Juliaacv Kids are hilarious! Guess Willow has decided that only chocolate can be brown.
Harper certainly sounds like she's very smart & talented. It's amazing to hear that she has such recall abilities. I hope that it lasts as she gets into her older years.
I'm sure both girls are smart in their own ways and even though they are twins they aren't carbon copies of each other.

Poor Willow not feeling well. There's been so much sickness going around and you certainly don't want it even if it means you have to forego those cuddles. Hope your hubby doesn't get it. Harper is a trooper. It would be funny if she did turn out to be an engineer,

Cozy! I love being in that position in the recliner with my fur babies. They love snuggling next to me even if it's hot here.

I don't mind the cuddling but sometimes it just seems like I'm loved more for the heating pad than myself

My dog likes to cuddle and most of the time I enjoy it but sometimes she wants to cuddle when it's a bit inconvenient I remember your pet sheep Hercules

@Marilynda1225 My Mum had a pet lamb that liked to sit on her lap. She (the lamb) couldn't understand when she got too big and wouldn't fit.

I'm sure my daughter will be better in a few days. Her husband was sick and I guess she caught his germs
Hope you get a nice bunch of fresh veggies and meat at the butcher. I always prefer meat from the butcher.

@Marilynda1225 When there is a family member who get sick,we usually get the germs from him or her when our immune system is weak.
Yes, I got fresh veggies. I have bought a kilo of ground pork which was cheap from the butcher. It was 5.99€ a kilo. It was usually €8 per kilo.

It's 10:23 A.M. My day started early. I was able to read a few pages of my book while cooking breakfast. I've just finished preparing my visual aids for my classes later. And, now I am here- checking on discussions and sending hugs to your daughter who is sick now. I am sure she'll be up and about very soon.
