When I was a child I had loads of hankies …they had pictures of nursery rhymes on them, days of the week, flowers, all very lovely ….and I did use them.
However, as I got older I found that I didn’t much like carrying all that ….sn*t ….around in my pocket.
And what happened when your hankie was ‘full’…..
So, now I use tissues …easy to use, and then throw straight away !
Much more hygienic I think …..
What do you use ?

@traceyjayne My father, when he was 90, asked me to get him some hankies. I asked if he meant tissues and he was most offended. Apparently tissue are for women. I still have the cloth hankies I then bought him. And weren’t linen handkerchiefs often given as gifts?

I also had lots of pretty hankies but now I use tissues.
Boy, I had forgotten how pretty some of those hankies were.

I always have a hankie with me. I'm forever blowing my nose but rarely does my hankie get full.

We had handkerchiefs when I was growing up but mom switched us to Kleenex tissues when they became available because she hated washing handkerchiefs... I carry a small travel pack of tissues in my pocket when we leave the house.
