Wonderful Weather

It got up to 71 and stayed sunny. It was wonderful outside. I did get one kiddie pool emptied enough to move it and got the table moved that I will be putting a pool planter on. I will start filling the pool up tomorrow after I get it on the table.
I got a call from the woman that always gets mad when people bid against her at the auction. Her husband passed away this week suddenly. I feel for her. I don't dislike her, she just can be aggravating in a funny way.
We also ordered for the last time from the local pizza place. She is closing down after insurance said it would cost to much to fix her building. Many, us included, blame the town for that. I think it was 3 years ago the building next door burned. Maybe 4 years. Her insurance couldn't do any repairs with the old building still there and the town is just now getting ready to demolish that. After this long without being repaired hers is just getting worse. So we understand the problem.
Hope you had a good day.

From what she said it was sudden.
The fire didn't need to happen even. The guy should not have been living there at all. But the town wouldn't enforce the ordinance

We reached 92F this afternoon and are running the air conditioner. It feels nice in the house. We did go out shopping for a little while this afternoon and bought fried chicken. Pretty wanted a salad and I got broccoli and cheese to go with my chicken.

You bet! Our high was 79F today!
I’m so sorry about that lady’s husband.
I’ll keep her in my prayers.
It’s a shame how the town won’t enforce the laws and it ends up making everyone suffer. Now they have another business gone because they wouldn’t deal with damaged property (or make the owners/insurance deal with it).

I love this warmer weather.
It would be a shock.
The owner didn't have insurance on the burned building. But the town has an ordinance against living in those buildings but wouldn't put him out. Besides no fire he might have been alive yet too if they had enforced it.

I am sure the lady is more than upset about losing her husband so suddenly. That would be so hard. And what a shame for the pizza lady. I know you enjoyed her pizza.

From what she said it was a complete shock.
It is. There was no reason to wait except I think this is what the town wanted to happen.

I don't think she will be there as much. She often was ready to go but he wanted to stay.
