What is your biggest expense besides rent or a house payment?

I think rent or a mortgage payment is the biggest bill most people have. So I was wondering about your next biggest bill. Is it groceries? A car payment? Electricity bill? Mine would definitely be groceries, and that’s probably what a lot of people will say. After groceries, it’s my electricity bill. In the summer it is very high, and since it is 96 F (32 C) today my air conditioner is running. I’m going to miss winter. What about you?

Mine would be gas/electric bill then eating out . We spend very little on food for the house as we are not often here to eat.

My next biggest bill would be the home/auto insurance bill. These days the price to gas up is climbing up on the list of high expenses too. Next weekend we will go out to the reservation and fill up out there, this weekend they are a quarter a L less.

I forgot about those. I guess I was thinking recurring bills.

After the house payment the electric bill. I just paid a whopper, almost 300 bucks but that was due to the excessive heat use during the cold temps. The coming one should be quite a bit more manageable. I tend to see my lowest bills in April..but this year will likely be May.

House taxes for me next month. That 15 hundred and change keeps us okay until Autumn then we pay again.

Like you, it's housing, electric bill, and groceries, and gas for the car. My home is all electric, so no bill for gas service to heat the home. It's hard to think about it being 96 there already. We made it to 80 the other day. Today it was 79, but Monday the high is 41. It's all weird! I know you do everything you can do to save on your expenses, we are the same here. I think many people are doing the same. I am NOT looking forward to those horrible hot and steamy days that just make a person feel like they are going to melt. Summertime is just not my favorite.

Electricity bill here is expensive and we use a lot of electricity. We use AC every single day without a skip.
