My sister and I are so opposites in many thing: personality, looks, etc. If there's one thing that''s common between us, it's our favorite food. We both have the same taste in snacks and foreign food. And one of our fave is Loacker wafer. We prefer it over any other brand of wafer. And when it comes to food, we don't care how expensive it is as long as it's food we want to eat it! And we both get mad when our sons wouldn't buy the food they like coz it's pricey! Definitely a no,no for us. When it comes to unnecessary luxury things, we tell our kids we don't have money. But when it comes to food, we tell them we aren't that poor not to spend on food.

It does change a person’s mind on how much we will spend when it comes to our favorite food. Our pocketbook might open just a little bit more than normal.

So true. My mother raised us like that. Frugal in other things but when it comes to what we eat, there's no limit in the budget.

I know what it would be if I ever got to try eating it. But it's in a foreign land so many miles away

One of our favorite snack is a flavored wafer too. We get them in vanilla or chocolate. Very tasty. I like Doves chocolate carmels too.

@toniganzon ...... I can't recall the brand of the ones we used to get. I think it started with a K. The hazelnut was delicious.

Even when I was a kid, chocolate wafer was a favorite. Hazelnut flavor is now a favorite of mine but only if it's from the brand Loacker.

My father always told us to never skimp on the food we put in our tummies. As a result, we always buy the best quality of food we can get. We don’t have that brand in the USA, but we do enjoy our vanilla wafers.

Oh I love jelly beans but because it's sweet I eat it only once in awhile. I try to avoid sugar.

Correct! Food is really essential. That's also the very reason why my mother choose to have a business selling food. The only food my mother warn us not to eat to much is chips, canned goods and pancit canton. Other than that Loacker wafer we buy at S&R that I and my colleagues shared at work. I also like nissin chocolate wafer.

I took generally buy the food I want to eat, and not that I should. It can really run into money, but life is short. We should enjoy it while we are here.

That is very true. We should never deprive ourselves with what we like to eat. Unless it's for health reasons.

My mom spend for what matters. Food and vitamins. We only shop for clothes and shoes once a year.

My mother doesn't check the price when it comes to food. We could ask her for the most expensive brand that we wanted when we were kids or eat at the most expensive restaurants. She was frugal in other things but when it comes to food, we can enjoy all the luxury food we wanted. So my sister and I do the same. So do the rest of my siblings.

I would rather spend a little more money on something I really like (to eat) than settle for something less just because the price is cheaper. I do like those wafer types of cookies/biscuits but we don't have that brand here,

It's an Italian brand of wafer and it's really tastier than the other brands I've tried. It's just more expensive.
