Will today be a pool day?

I just checked. It's supposed to hit 78 F or so today, under mostly sunny skies. I teach from 10 AM until 1 PM. That means I'll be free as things are still warming up. What are you up to on this sunny and temperate Saturday?

I stayed at home all the day, it was sunny but not warm and my husband did not feel well enough to go out. I baked a cake.

@TheHorse Sponge cake as a base, cut in half, wet with a coffee and rum syrup. Then I prepared a custard, added whipped cream and spread the cream on top of the first half. Covered with second layer of sponge cake and covered with the remaining cream.

At 12:20 pm, it is 50F here. We might reach 60F by late this afternoon. No swimming for me this early in the year! I just ate some red raspberries and strawberries for breakfast and will be going back to sleep in a little while. I hope you enjoy your day.
