My town has about 20 thousand people in it. We're close to another town that has about 20 thousand people in it. Plus all the rural areas, the rivers and mountains and valleys. Pretty red in nature.
Today my friend brought me and my rollator to a downtown park to a No Kings protest. Whoa on the people there. I'm not good at math. Maybe 200 attended? One young woman managed to get around in a blow up cow outfit. A guy in a giraffe outfit showed up. A couple of pumpkin heads..... I was not the only one there that had an assistive device to get around. Loud music and a good, positive vibe. A lady rolled a wagon around, dispensing bottles of water and bags of popcorn. A few dogs showed up. Cars honked, I think in support.
I'm glad I went. Friend is more social than me. She said she wouldn't have gone but she had promised to pick me up so she did. The weather even cooperated. It felt good to be part of a greater community whole.

There was someone in a unicorn suit at mine. Not quite sure what that has to do with No Kings, but it was cute!

@kaylachan It's good for us all to get out with others. I'm not that great at engaging others in conversation but it's good to just be there.

I thought about attending the No Kings rally in Springfield today but started running a fever so Pretty said we were staying home.

@Ineeddentures I have little math ability. I just saw that 815 showed up- better than I estimated but yeah, not ginormous.
