I know it's been a long time since I was here. I've been very busy. Spring came right on schedule according to the calendar, which doesn't mean much in Wisconsin where we can have snow into May. However, it was 68 F yesterday, and the snow is gone. Today, isn't quite as warm, but it's still nice.
As to what I've been doing for the past month, writing, editing, and general book work. I'm working on four books every day. Wilderness Cry is almost finished. I'm working on Thread of Evidence to put it into a second edition as I give it another punctuation pass. I also put it into 12 point font. Since I'm putting that one in second edition, I'll follow it with Vendetta. I'm also working on New Horizons - Predators and Terrorists and Firestorm. More Than a Conqueror is sitting on the back burner right now.
I thought I would be here more, but we both know that didn't happen.
Last week I had my wellness exam. That went well. My doctor agreed that I don't need the walker. However, with my fatigue, getting winded just walking one lap on the hallway, something that was a consequence of COVID this past December and January, he ordered an EKG and stress test to rule out anything related to the heart. He's not concerned and neither am I. I'll have that test the day after Easter. This week, I'm seeing a dietitian to help with my weight. When I talked with my doctor, he said what my AI concluded - protein and veggies. Light on the carbs. I've already changed to that. I'll see what the dietitian says this Wednesday.
This month has also been a heavy month. Two people I know well, passed away. One passed away this past Thursday, she was expected. She's been going downhill for a while now. The other, a good friend from church passed away unexpectedly a couple of weeks ago. He always had a hug and smile every time I saw him. I always asked if he was going to retire. He's been old enough for quite a while. I guess he's retired now.
Life here has been good. I'm not complaining. It's spring, so no snow out there or in the forecast is expected.
I almost forgot the best news. A couple of weeks ago my younger son called me and told me he would meet me in heaven. He's walking with Jesus again after many years. He even asked for a Bible. I got him one right away. He also wanted one he got when he was younger and went to Bible camp. I gave him that one too. It leaves a little hole on my bookshelf, but it's a happy hole. He made me so happy when he told me that good news.
So, life is good. I'm looking forward to Easter on Sunday. He'll be here with his girlfriend to celebrate. It will have new meaning this year.
That's what's happening here. What did I miss? Let me know in the comments. Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me. Oh yeah, we did have a blizzard this month, just before Spring landed on the calendar.

You have had a busy month. It sounds like you need to tear yourself away from the writing, and do a little more to take care of your body. I guess it is too hard to get to the pool these days? Nice to see you.

Sounds like a full month there... But that's good to hear about the good things going on in your life.
Not much to share here at the moment
