Oops, I did it again….

So this morning, I wrote a discussion about how pretty much all I did for the past three days was sleep. Fortunately, or unfortunately, all I did today was go right back to sleep. @thislittlepennyearns mentioned B12 shots help with energy, and I wondered how many of you have tried them. Do you remember how much they cost you?

They might try to do something where they give you magnesium iv and b12 shots. I think it would for sure help you!

Tomorrow would be a good day to ask about it since the rheumatologist gives B12 shots among other shots and IVs.

@thislittlepennyearns No doubt, I’ll need the reminder.

@AmbiePam I will remind you when I give you the pep talk in the morning. My alarm is already set, as if I will go to sleep.

Have you asked if your insurance will pay for them and if it has anything to do with the magnesium deficiency (one might lead to the other). Praying for you!

I don’t think they’ll pay for them, but I sure will ask my doctor. I see the rheumatologist tomorrow.

If your doctor decides they are medically necessary, Medicaid will cover them. I would at least ask the doctor if he/she thought they would help you, Amber.

I don't know anything about B12 shots. I used to take a B Complex vitamin every morning but was told to stop since my kidneys aren't functioning at 100% right now. I hope your insurance will pay for them.

They can help. You might be able to add b12 vitamin to your morning pills.

Never tried any kind of shots, sorry. Only the occasional vitamin pill when I remember!

Isn't there a B12 vitamin you can get over the counter ? I take 2 multi vitamins everyday that helps my energy level + 2 Iron pills everyday, There's days I sleep all day as well.

Yes, there is, but I’ve heard it’s better absorbed in shot form. That might not be true though so I’ll ask today at the doctor.

I did do them, for weight loss, about 25 years ago. I had a Groupon to get them at a local doctor's office. I can't remember how much they were.

My sister has to have them for her pernicious anemia, but that’s a medical condition insurance covers.
