Still getting estimate reading on gas bill

The gas bill for my mom’s house still keeps getting estimate readings. This Saturday I went to look at her meter and the meter reading there is less than the current and previous numbers on the latest bill. I just called the gas company to inquire when this will estimate reading thing will end finally but was placed on hold. Instead of waiting for a rep I opted for a callback when a rep becomes available. I got a call back from them and was told that they are still working on the adjustments and I should wait a few billing cycles. Hopefully by then everything will be back to normal and we will start seeing actual readings. Somehow, I doubt that will be the case. For now, I have to keep paying the bills, even though they’re clearly higher than they should be because of the estimated readings.

They aren't doing very well are they? I hope you can at some point get this all sorted out.

I’m tired of dealing with this. It shouldn’t take this long to resolve.

My mom now has a new meter. It should be read remotely now. Readings should be accurate. I get that they are making adjustments but it shouldn’t take over a year for adjustments to be made to start getting accurate readings.

If they ever get it sorted, you'll have paid so much extra you'll be able to miss a payment.

This is ridiculous. I think I would be making more of a stink.

@lovebuglena Ask to talk to a supervisor. Or write a letter/email to the headquarters.
