Goodafternoon! Hello once again! Its hot here because its Lenten Season. I juat stayed at home the sun's heat at this time is not good it can burn you. Anyway I have another discussion today. So Im forty-four years old now and I know a lot of you knows what comes next if you are in the forty-ish age. To some , a lot of physical changes may be seen , and to some it doesnt matter. I bought some supplements to help me take good care of my body. I have gluthathione , Vitamins with magnesium, calcium and zinc and many more, I just took three .photos. so that I can tell more about them. They do help me in maintaining my skin, my hair and over all body looking good and fresh and young. This age I am in right now is the beginning of some body changes too. So to slower my body 's ageing process I am taking supplements and lots of water. Not that Im scared to age but I would like to age smoothly too. My question is, do you reallu believe in the effects of vitamins and supplements in our body? Have you tried taking some supplements too?

Hello and afternoon to you. It's interesting how important each and every nutrient is for our body functioning. And water is needed by each organ to do its work well. I'm 30 years older than you and am very into reading and learning about which ones I need to stay healthy. I read a lot of WebMD and find the site a very good resource.

@celticeagle Hello there ! Im sorry for the late response . Yes I agree water is also the best in keeping our body healthy and hydrated. I am skipping on sweets too and sodas , more on water and juices for the immune system. I love reading about nutrients and what is best for our body . Thank you for sharing your thought.

I take a multivitamin to cover any nutritional deficiencies I may have, but I take Magnesium and Niacin specifically because my doctor told me too.

I don’t think I took any supplements when I was in my 40’s. Maybe I should have. Now in my sixties, I take vitamin D during the winter and Magnesium every day. I don’t know if they work, but how can you tell? I’m sure you’re still beautiful, but that’s not a requirement for a man. I’ll settle for only slightly “craggy” looking.

@Orson_Kart Oh maybe because in the past taking good care of oneself is not that in style I mean, some just take supplements or vitamins if they feel something qeird in their body. Now, with advanced tevhnology we are equipped with information about our health and our bodies.

@iKONICNoona I think women have always looked after their skin better than men. Back in the day: a splash of Brut or Old Spice after shaving, was all a man needed.

Eating healthy and staying active helps a lot. I am 60 and still doing everything I did in my 40s.

@wolfgirl569 I agree. When I was younger I barely eat fruits and vegetables but as I grow older my body is signaling I need them in my system. Staying active or mobile also helps, a simple exercise or household chore can help you perspire and it feels good right after.

I started taking supplements for 2-3years now, in my late 30s, where i'm still at. i think it's good to take them, then take a small break and also to search for some discounts, if they exist.
